STATEMENT FROM JT MOTORSPORT

After much deliberation, JT Motorsport has decided to withdraw Jake Taylor from the remaining rounds of the Swift Sport Rallycross Championship

this season.

With some fantastic new opportunities on the horizon, the strategic decision to not contest the final three rounds of the season is to ensure that Taylor continues to develop both professionally and personally in motorsport.

Through the opening five rounds of the 2016 Swift Sport Rallycross Championship campaign, Taylor has become a stronger motorsport talent and leaves on a high, in fifth position of 18 points scoring drivers – behind four far more experienced competitors.

For the remainder of 2016, Taylor will explore other racing disciplines and undertake his ARDS training, and will have some exciting news to share over the coming months.

“This is a really hard decision for us to make, but for a number of reasons we believe it is the right one in helping my career develop in the best possible way. We look forward to working on my development and I can’t wait to share news about my future plans,” said Taylor.

JT Motorsport would like to thank everyone in the rallycross community, friends, family and followers for their incredible support, direction and well wishes.

Taylor is targeting a return to the MSA British Rallycross Championship in 2017.
