Strong Oulton Park Weekend Keeps LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing at the Sharp End

LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing enjoyed a competitive weekend at Oulton Park as Aiden Moffat and Mikey Doble secured further valuable points during Rounds 10, 11 & 12 of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

Following a challenging outing at Snetterton, the team arrived in Cheshire looking to return to the front of the field, and immediately demonstrated their pace during Saturday’s Free Practice sessions. In mixed conditions following a change in weather from the heat of Norfolk, Moffat topped the timesheets, while Doble finished fourth fastest as the team made an encouraging start to the weekend.

Qualifying took place under cloudy skies with a strong breeze and occasional drizzle adding further complexity to conditions. Moffat secured fifth in Qualifying Group One, while Doble impressed in Group Two by setting the second fastest time. The performances placed Doble third on the grid for the Qualifying Race and Moffat tenth.

As light rain began to fall ahead of the Qualifying Race, both drivers produced solid performances in increasingly challenging conditions. Doble brought his Audi S3 home in sixth position, while Moffat gained ground to finish ninth and secure strong starting positions for Sunday’s opening race.

Sunday began with damp conditions around the Cheshire circuit, although the track gradually improved ahead of Race One. Running on the soft compound tyre, both drivers delivered competitive performances, with Moffat finishing fifth and Doble sixth. Doble also secured the fastest Independent lap of the race, further highlighting the pace within the LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing package.

Race Two proved more challenging. Doble once again delivered a strong drive to secure fifth position and another valuable points finish. Moffat, however, suffered misfortune after a trip across the grass forced an unscheduled stop for checks. Although the car was able to continue, the delay left him a lap down and ultimately resulted in a 21st place finish.

The reverse grid draw created further opportunities for the final race of the weekend, with Doble lining up seventh on the grid. Running the hard compound tyre in Race Three proved challenging for much of the field, with tyre performance becoming a key factor throughout the contest. Despite the difficult conditions, Doble fought hard to finish 11th, while Moffat produced a strong recovery drive to secure 10th position.

Race Three also marked a major milestone for Doble, who celebrated his 100th BTCC start. Remarkably, all 100 of those appearances have come with Power Maxed Racing, underlining a long-standing relationship between driver and team.

Leaving Oulton Park, Doble sits seventh in the Drivers’ Championship and leads the Independents Trophy standings, while Moffat moves into 10th overall and fourth in the Independents classification.

LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing also remains fourth in the Teams’ Championship and continues to lead the Independent Teams’ Championship as the 2026 season heads into its next phase.
