Expectations - Donington Park, Rounds 4, 5 & 6

Following their first British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) win at Brands Hatch less than two weeks ago, Warwickshire based Power Maxed Racing are feeling positive for the upcoming rounds at Donington Park.

Campaigning under the Power Maxed TAG Racing banner with Josh Cook and Senna Proctor, both of whom are Jack Sears Trophy winners with PMR, the team are feeling confident about their chances at the Derbyshire circuit.

Team Principal Adam Weaver said “we’re still on a high after the spectacular win at the hands of Senna at Brands Hatch. With both him and Josh having now proved themselves as experienced BTCC drivers, we’re confident of strong results this year. Martin (Broadhurst) and the team have been working relentlessly on getting the absolute best from the cars, and we make no bones about the fact that we’re looking to stay consistently in the points this season.”

There is no doubt that the team’s Vauxhall Astras, built from the ground up at their base near Stratford-upon-Avon, are competitive, having fought their way through the pack numerous times throughout the previous season, culminating in Rob Huff leading Race 3 at Silverstone, to eventually take P2. With Senna Proctor taking the Jack Sears title last year, and both drivers posting Fastest Laps at the season opener at Brands Hatch, Team Manager Martin Broadhurst has strong expectations for Rounds 4, 5 and 6 this weekend:

“Senna’s win at Brands Hatch was phenomenal, and has proved to everyone that we’re here to win. Both Josh and Senna have demonstrated that they can take the Astras to the front, and that’s where we’ll be aiming. The whole team has been buoyed by the win, and it’s made the late nights and hard-work worthwhile.”

Warwickshire-based Power Maxed Racing (PMR) is a professional motor racing team currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with the Vauxhall Astras designed and built by the 10-man team at PMR.

In the Astras’ debut season, PMR achieved several podium finishes and secured the coveted Jack Sears Trophy with five races of the Championship still to run.

PMR is headed up by Team Principal, Adam Weaver and highly respected and successful Technical Director, Martin Broadhurst. Weaver also owns sister company Automotive Brands; whose product portfolio includes well respected aftermarket brands such as Power Maxed and Steel Seal.

2018 sees PMR continue its relationship with Vauxhall in the BTCC, with the two PMR Astras competing in the Championship’s 60th anniversary season, aiming to contend for the title. During the first round at Brands Hatch, the team scored one of the most spectacular victories in BTCC history, alongside both drivers achieving Fastest Laps.
