Joyce OultonBank Holiday Monday saw the inaugural round of the 2019 Volkswagen Racing Cup, held at the picturesque Oulton Park. Forming part of the British GT calendar, fans were set to enjoy a teaser of British summertime at the Cheshire circuit, with various forms of motorsport taking place across the day.

Rounds 1, 2 and 3 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship took place at a foggy Brands Hatch circuit in Kent. Finishing 2nd overall in 2018 was the best year so far for the young team, but there is a determination that 2018 will not be the best year.

Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing have today announced the continuation of their Technical Partnership with heat management experts, Zircotec. The Abingdon-based company have been working closely with the factory Vauxhall-outfit on their intensive development programme through the winter, with a number of joint-projects already well-underway between them.

Power Maxed Racing have today announced their partnership with Maximum Networks. A Sister company to Maximum Motorsport, they are no stranger to the BTCC paddock, with CEO Stewart Lines taking to the wheel of his own Ford Focus NGTC car, until his departure at the close of the 2017 season.

Yesterday saw Jason Plato take to the wheel of his Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Astra for the first time. The two-times BTCC champion won his first title in a factory-supported Astra back in 2001, and the test day was his first experience of front-wheel-drive machinery since he finished 2nd overall in 2015.

CollardWednesday saw Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing’s newest recruit, Rob Collard, take to the wheel of one of the team’s Vauxhall Astras for the first time.

Proctor CookPower Maxed TAG Racing arrived at Rockingham for Rounds 19, 20 and 21 of the hotly contested Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, bolstered by a return to podium form at Snetterton two weeks ago. On what is allegedly the BTCC’s last visit to Rockingham, the teams and fans were looking forward to a return to the hot, dry weather of what used to be called the summer.

Josh CookPower Maxed TAG Racing re-affirmed its title credentials as Rounds 16, 17 and 18 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship took place around the challenging curves of MSV’s Snetterton circuit in Norfolk. The hard-working team returned to action at Snetterton after a mid-season break punctuated by the annual tyre test, also at Snetterton, and the spectacular appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Cook, who has so far this season chalked up 2 fantastic wins in the Power Maxed TAG Racing Vauxhall Astra, joins some of the greatest names in British motorsport history as a member of the ultra-exclusive membership body.

The Power Maxed TAG Racing Vauxhall Astra of multiple race-winner Josh Cook will appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next weekend. The Bath-based touring car ace will take to the world-famous hill climb on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, alongside historic and current motorsport stalwarts such as McLaren, Bentley and Ferrari.

CookPower Maxed TAG Racing came to Croft still very much in the title hunt but on the back of a challenging weekend at Oulton Park, where success ballast and a couple of unfortunate incidents masked the continued competitiveness of the PMR prepared Vauxhall Astra.

Words that have been uttered for as long as man has been competitive. And especially fitting for the weekend Power Maxed TAG Racing had at Oulton Park.

Power Maxed TAG Racing came to Oulton Park on the crest of a wave, with Josh Cook just a point off the lead of the Drivers’ Championship and the Team leading both the Manufacturers and Teams Championships.

Confirming his pace from both free practice sessions, Senna qualified an excellent 5th for Race 1 – his best qualifying performance in his short BTCC career to date. Despite showing great pace in free practice, Josh qualified in a frustrated 15th, giving him a bit of work to do come Race 1.

Warwickshire-based Power Maxed Racing (PMR) have today announced their partnership with PCSpecialist, the UK’s largest manufacturer of bespoke PCs and laptops.

Another weekend of firsts for Power Maxed TAG Racing sees the team heading up both the Manufacturers and Teams standings.
