Adam Weaver, Power Maxed Racing Team Principal commented,” On one hand we are disappointed that we couldn’t continue our work with Josh, he is a promising talent and has a great career in front of him. We are however delighted that he will remain in the BTCC, it is one of the world's finest racing championships and drivers like Josh will keep the racing as exciting as ever.”
Weaver continued, “Both parties worked very hard to keep Josh with Power Maxed, we had a vested interest as we have nurtured and invested time to help Josh develop but we have invested heavily in the car, engine and team this year and, unfortunately, all this costs money. We just couldn't fill the gap. Josh has shown great maturity and the quality of a true racing driver as he is not prepared to financially overcommit himself, he has taken the drive he can afford and we respect him greatly for that.”
Power Maxed Racing have agreed terms with an exciting signing for their final BTCC seat and will make an announcement shortly.
