A spokesperson for Sterling Insurance said: “This year's an exciting one for Sterling Insurance, and we're delighted to be supporting Power Maxed Racing initially for the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. We're really impressed with the outfit's line-up; Jason Plato is a much-loved, much-admired BTCC great. As well as brilliant racing, he also brings personality to the circuit - and that’s what we want to also offer the championship this season. Then to be joined by Rob Collard, another experienced and highly-respected driver is the icing on the cake, and we're looking forward to watching them both in the Power Maxed designed-and-built Vauxhall Astra. I'm sure it's going to be a brilliant season for us all."

Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Team Principal, Adam Weaver said: “We’re really excited to be heading in to this season with Sterling Insurance as Title Partner. Having taken the automotive car care brand Power Maxed to the size it is now in 5 years, purely through motorsport marketing in the BTCC, I’m genuinely looking forward to proving to them also the power of marketing that the UK’s biggest form of motorsport provides when done right. With Jason and Rob on board, it’s safe to say it’s going to be a Sterling year!”

PMR would also like to take the chance to draw attention to its continued partnership with Vauxhall.  Involvement from Vauxhall Trade Club increases with the addition of an exciting Groupe PSA brand. To be distributed by Vauxhall Trade Club from 2020, Eurorepar is an all-makes parts range focused on quality, price and performance with over 10,000 referenced parts covering air con and braking to workshop consumables and many parts for any car in between.

Chris Downing, Vauxhall’s Head of Trade and Fleet Sales, said “We recognise the powerful benefits the association with PMR in the BTCC brings, so much so that each year, not only do we continue our support but we also increase our involvement. With the integration of Vauxhall and its new owner, Groupe PSA, it brings new opportunities for the Trade Club brand and 2020 sees us starting to distribute its all-makes parts range, Eurorepar. It’s a perfect platform to help manage and promote Vauxhall Trade Club and Eurorepar with our dealers and importantly our trade customers.”

The team have revealed computer generated images of the Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing car, to give a nod to what the car is likely to look like, alongside imagery of their 2019 team clothing, provided yet again by experienced teamwear provider, Dread. Teamwear is now available to pre order from www.Dread.cc, giving fans the opportunity to support the team from the off.

Whilst the clothing is now signed off and in production, the livery is not finalised, although artwork shows partners and the new colours. Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing’s finalised livery will be revealed at the BTCC Media test day, taking place at Brands Hatch at the end of this month.

The first extended shake down of the new Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Astra will also be taking place at Brands Hatch this week, on the 6th March. Initially at the hands of Rob Collard, the following week both cars will be tested, with Jason back from his Winter “get rested and ready for the BTCC Season” holiday.
