Andrew Watson to star in acclaimed BTCC documentary
CarStore Power Maxed Racing driver Andrew Watson will feature in the upcoming fourth season of the BTCC’s smash-hit documentary, On the Limit.
The series, which gives fans a never-before-seen level of access and insight into the UK’s premier touring car category, selects a trio of stars – and their teams – to feature each season.
Camera crews will follow Watson across the full 10-event, 30-race BTCC campaign, starting this weekend at Donington Park, and also visit the Northern Irish talent away from the track to give viewers a sense of life in the fast lane.
Produced by award-winning production agency Momentum Social, the past three seasons have attracted over 3.5 million impressions, 850,000 video views and global viewer engagement from all four corners of the globe.
“I’m really excited to be starring in the next season of On the Limit,” says Watson.
“This is a huge career step for me, and an exciting new challenge. Hopefully, I can offer the fans a really unique insight into what it is like, not only competing at this level, but also coming into the BTCC as a rookie.
“A huge thanks to Kwik Fit for having me involved, and I look forward to watching the finished product – highs, lows, and everything in-between – when it comes out early next year.”
Now entering their ninth season competing in the BTCC, the documentary also gives fans a chance to get closer than ever before to CarStore Power Maxed Racing.
Team Principal Adam Weaver welcomed Watson’s inclusion and is looking ahead with optimism to the new season as the team continues to build back to its race-winning successes of previous years.
“Being a part of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship offers our fans the best level of coverage for any national series in the UK – but it isn’t always possible to show everything,” says Weaver.
“Having On the Limit in the garage with us in 2023 will, we hope, bring a whole new perspective on life in a race-winning BTCC team to everyone watching at home. It’s an exciting season ahead for us, with Andrew one of three new drivers, and we can’t wait to get going this weekend.”
