Driver-Signed, Specially Commissioned Artworks to Be Auctioned in Support of PMR’s Rebuild

Power Maxed Racing is proud to announce the auction of four uniquely commissioned artworks, with all proceeds going directly toward the continued rebuild and stabilisation of the team following the devastating workshop fire earlier this year.

What began as a discussion over a potential commission for a family member has since evolved into something far more symbolic and poignant. Shortly before the fire, the artworks were in discussion to be commissioned by David Matthews, father of Nick’s race engineer, and were to be brought to life by renowned motorsport artist Ian Cunningham. With more than 40 years of experience, Cunningham’s work is instantly recognisable, having created standout pieces for countless teams, drivers, clients and brands across the industry. However, during these discussions we suffered our devastating fire and the topic of discussion quickly altered to a way to support the team in a different way entirely. As a result, we now have some fabulous artworks to auction on behalf of David and Ian.

The artworks depict two special moments from our 2025 season:

• Mikey Doble’s career-defining BTCC victory at Snetterton
• Nick Halstead’s first points-scoring finish of the season at Croft

Each illustration took in excess of 60 hours to create, and the level of detail can only be truly appreciated in person. These are not just artworks of our Vauxhall Astras — they capture emotion, triumph, and moments that mean everything to the team.

A Poignant First

For the first time ever, copies of the Original Master Versions have been produced.
The Master Version and its copies include the full, complete background — something not usually available to the public.

In a rare and incredibly generous gesture, artist Ian Cunningham has donated the original pieces specifically for auction — something that almost never happens in his line of work.

• The Original Master Versions, signed by each driver, will be auctioned
• Additional Master Copies, also driver-signed, will be auctioned
• One of each Master Copy has also been donated to PMR to display permanently at team HQ, thanks to David Matthews
