LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing Celebrates Victory and Championship Success at Donington Park
LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing enjoyed an outstanding opening weekend of the 2026 British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park, securing an overall race victory, multiple top results, and a strong position in the early championship standings.
Following a competitive Qualifying Race on Saturday, Mikey Doble lined up fourth on the grid for Race One, with Aiden Moffat starting from eighth. Both drivers delivered impressive performances, with Doble taking the overall race victory following a post-race disqualification ahead, while also securing the Independent win. Moffat added to the team’s strong start by finishing sixth, marking a double top-ten finish.
Race Two saw Doble start from pole position, with Moffat lining up sixth. In a closely fought race, Moffat narrowly missed out on the podium to finish fourth, while Doble crossed the line in fourteenth after a challenging race in the pack.
The final race of the weekend saw Moffat start from fifth on the reverse grid, delivering another strong and consistent drive to finish fourth once again, while also securing the Independent victory. Doble, starting from fourteenth, fought hard through the field and set the fastest lap of the Independent runners.
Across the weekend, LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing demonstrated strong pace, consistency, and competitiveness, leaving Donington Park second in the overall BTCC Teams’ Championship and leading the Independent Teams’ standings.
In the Drivers’ Championship, Moffat sits third overall and leads the Independent Drivers’ standings, while Doble holds seventh overall and fifth in the Independent classification.
Aiden Moffat said:
“I think it was pretty promising. To be this strong from Race One is a credit to how hard the team have worked and how well the cars are built. It was gutting to miss out on the outright podium, but to walk away with two fourths, a sixth and an Independent win, and to leave the weekend third in the championship, that’s one hell of a result — especially for the car’s first outing. Jack Sears Trophy for Dexter, a win for Mikey… I don’t think we could have asked for much more. We’d be a bit greedy if we did.”
Mikey Doble added:
“I think we’ve got to take all the positives we can from it. The car’s fast — we won the first race for the car in round one of the season. To see all three cars up in the top ten of the championship is a great achievement as well. It just gives me so much excitement for what’s to come. I think it’s going to be a really strong year for everyone at the team.”
With a race win, Independent success, and strong championship positions secured, LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing leaves the opening weekend full of confidence as the team looks ahead to the next round at Brands Hatch.
