LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing Secure Strong Brands Hatch Weekend

LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing enjoyed another competitive weekend in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch Indy, with Mikey Doble securing a podium finish and two Independent victories at his home circuit, while both drivers maintained strong championship positions heading into the next round.

Saturday's Free Practice session took place under warm and sunny conditions around the challenging Kent venue, with local driver Mikey Doble immediately delighting his home crowd by finishing third fastest overall. Team mate Aiden Moffat ended the session in 13th, although the Scotsman was carrying a reduced boost allocation following his strong championship position after the opening round at Donington Park.

The BTCC's boost regulations once again played a major role around the short but demanding Brands Hatch Indy layout, where acceleration and elevation changes place extra emphasis on available boost deployment.

Qualifying later that afternoon saw both LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing drivers compete in the first qualifying group. Doble continued his strong form at his home circuit to secure seventh place overall, while Moffat battled hard despite the boost deficit to qualify 19th in an incredibly competitive field.

The qualifying race saw both drives hold strong positions throughout the contest. Doble delivered another composed drive in front of his home fans to secure seventh place at the flag, while Moffat made progress through the order to finish 16th and improve his starting position for Sunday's opening race.

Race One brought mixed conditions and high drama as light rain began falling moments before the start. With the shower expected to be brief, the entire field gambled on remaining on slick tyres, creating a tense and unpredictable encounter around the fast Indy circuit.

Doble once again produced a calm and consistent performance at Brands Hatch to bring home another seventh place finish, while Moffat fought hard throughout the difficult conditions to take 17th at the chequered flag.

Race Two proved to be one of the standout performances of the weekend for the team. Starting from 17th on the grid, Moffat delivered a sensational recovery drive through the pack to finish fifth, gaining 12 positions in a superb display. Doble also enjoyed another excellent race at his home venue, climbing to sixth place to continue his run of strong points finishes.

The final race of the weekend saw Doble line up third on the grid alongside Moffat in fourth after the partially reversed grid draw. In front of a strong home crowd, Doble converted the opportunity into a hard-fought podium finish with third place, capping off an excellent weekend performance at his local circuit. Moffat added further valuable championship points in 10th position after another fiercely contested race.

Leaving Brands Hatch, Mikey Doble now sits third in the Drivers' Championship and leads the Independents Trophy standings, while Aiden Moffat holds sixth overall and second in the Independents classification.

The team also leaves Kent sitting second in the Teams' Championship and leading the Independent Teams' standings, underlining another strong weekend for LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing in the 2026 BTCC campaign.
