Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing all set for 2 Car Entry at Brands Hatch BTCC this Weekend.

UK – 8 May 2025 –

Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing is back in full force this weekend as the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) returns to Brands Hatch. The team will once again field both of its Vauxhall Astras, ready to take on the tight, technical challenge of the Kent circuit.

After a strong showing in the opening rounds, Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing is looking to continue building momentum. Brands Hatch, with its rich BTCC heritage and demanding layout, is a fan-favourite and a circuit where the team has delivered standout performances in the past.

Team Principal Adam Weaver commented:

“We’re excited to head to Brands with both cars back on the grid. It’s always a special venue for the BTCC, and the team’s put in a huge effort behind the scenes to ensure we’re ready. Building an additional car, getting the livery designed, printed and applied with all the spares inside 2 weeks is not an easy task I can assure you. I have to give credit to all those that have helped, our multitude of suppliers and partners, that have all been incredible, facilitating, our quite frankly, unreasonable requests on delivery times! The staff back at base have worked so hard and very efficiently to make this reality. We’ve got two drivers in the cars now and we’re expecting a strong weekend and to perhaps surprise a few people with our results.”

Returning to the cockpit is Mikey Doble, who’s looking forward to the fast-paced action:

“Brands Hatch is always one of the most exciting circuits on the calendar – close racing, big crowds, and a real chance to push hard. We’ve made some great progress with the car and I’m feeling confident heading into the weekend, it’s my home circuit and I have a lot of friends and family in attendance, along with key partners. I’d really like to get them, and myself of course, a trophy or two.”

Teammate Nick Halstead is equally fired up for the challenge:

“It’s great to be back on the BTCC grid and in a Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing Vauxhall Astra. The team has been incredibly supportive, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in. The aim is to keep learning, be competitive, and deliver some strong results in the Independent Championships and I believe with their experience and the support shown to me so far that can happen.”

Now with two drivers and well-prepared car’s and team, PMR is aiming high for the weekend – targeting points, progress, and putting on a show for the many fans.
