Podium Success and Championship Lead for Power Maxed Racing at Croft
Power Maxed Racing enjoyed a productive and hard-fought weekend at Croft Circuit, as rounds four and five of the TCR UK Championship delivered mixed conditions, intense racing, and a valuable haul of points for the team.
The opening race of the weekend proved to be a test of composure and adaptability, with a red flag halting proceedings before a full restart in wet conditions.
At the restart, Jenson O'Neill Going experienced a difficult opening phase, losing positions to both Rod McGovern and Harry Bloor. However, he responded well under pressure to regain ground, successfully re-passing Bloor with a determined drive.
In what marked his first competitive outing in wet conditions in a TCR car, Jenson showed maturity beyond his years to bring the car home in sixth position.
Team mate Rod McGovern delivered a consistent performance to secure fifth place, ensuring both cars finished inside the top six despite the disrupted race.
Race two saw further drama, with a safety car period bunching the field and setting up a tense run to the flag.
Starting fifth, Jenson O'Neill Going made an impressive start, quickly moving through to third before ultimately securing second place at the chequered flag. The result marks another podium finish in his debut TCR UK season and sees him retain the lead of the Drivers' Championship.
Rod McGovern added to the team's points tally with a solid run to the seventh, maintaining his strong championship position and consistency across the weekend.
Following rounds four and five, Power Maxed Racing leaves Croft in a commanding position across multiple standings:
Drivers' Championship:
1st Jenson O'Neill Going

Goodyear Diamond Award:
