Power Maxed Racing Celebrates Historic Victory and Strong Opening Weekend in TCR UK
Power Maxed Racing enjoyed a highly successful opening weekend of the TCR UK Championship, securing a race victory, multiple podium finishes, and the early championship lead.
The team fielded two entries across the weekend, with Jenson O’Neill Going and Rod McGovern both delivering competitive performances across the three races.
Race One saw a strong start to the campaign, with McGovern securing an impressive second-place finish, while O’Neill Going completed the podium in third, giving the team a double podium result and delivering the strongest results of both drivers’ TCR UK careers to date.
In Race Two, O’Neill Going produced a standout performance to take his maiden TCR UK victory. In doing so, he also made history by becoming the youngest-ever race winner in TCR UK. McGovern crossed the line in seventh after a hard-fought race in a competitive field.
The final race of the weekend saw O’Neill Going bring the car home in sixth, while McGovern was unfortunately forced to retire.
Across the weekend, the team demonstrated strong pace and consistency, with O’Neill Going’s results placing him at the top of the championship standings after the opening round.
