Power Maxed Racing Completes Championship-Winning Season with Three BTCC Titles

Power Maxed Racing brought the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season to a spectacular close at Brands Hatch, securing all three championships contested across its programme: the Independent Drivers' Championship, Independent Teams' Championship and Jack Sears Trophy.

The season finale proved to be a landmark weekend for the team, with Mikey Doble and LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing securing the Independent Drivers' and Independent Teams' titles respectively during Race Two on Sunday, while Dexter Patterson collected his Jack Sears Trophy after clinching the championship at Silverstone.

With all four Audi S3s back on track for the final round of the season, Aiden Moffat, Mikey Doble, Dexter Patterson and Nick Halstead delivered a competitive weekend, highlighted by pole position, a qualifying race victory, multiple top-ten finishes and a podium in the final race of 2026.

Power Maxed Racing showed encouraging pace from the opening free practice session, with Mikey Doble finishing sixth, Aiden Moffat eighth and Dexter Patterson tenth. Nick Halstead completed the session in 23rd.

Qualifying brought an even stronger performance, with Moffat securing pole position and Doble lining up third. Patterson qualified seventh, while Halstead took 23rd.

Moffat converted pole into victory in the qualifying race, leading the field home and setting the fastest lap of the race with a 1:29.940. Doble finished fourth, Patterson ninth and Halstead 22nd, giving the team a strong platform heading into Sunday's three championship deciding races.

Moffat continued to demonstrate the team's pace in Race One, crossing the line in second place before a five-second time penalty for track limits dropped him to fourth. He also recorded the fastest lap among the Independent runners with a 1:30.375.

Doble finished sixth, with Patterson ninth, while Halstead brought his Audi home in 19th.

With the championship battles approaching their conclusion, every position mattered as the team prepared for the decisive second race of the weekend.

Race Two delivered the defining moment of Power Maxed Racing's season.

Doble finished fourth, with Moffat eighth and Patterson ninth. Those results proved sufficient to secure both the Independent Drivers' Championship for Doble and the Independent Teams' Championship for LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing.

Doble's title capped a season of consistent performances and standout results, including outright race victories and strong qualifying performances. His success in the Independent standings also underlined the progress made throughout the season.

The Independent Teams' title was a collective achievement for the LKQ Euro Car Parts-backed programme, reflecting the combined efforts of Doble, Moffat and the wider Power Maxed Racing team across the season.

With both championships confirmed, the team could celebrate another major milestone before turning its attention to the final race of the year.

Dexter Patterson had already secured the Jack Sears Trophy Championship at Silverstone, but Brands Hatch provided the opportunity to collect the trophy and celebrate the achievement with the team.

The final race offered another opportunity for a strong result. The reverse-grid draw placed Patterson on pole position, with Moffat alongside him in second.

Patterson fought at the front throughout the race, crossing the line fourth before being promoted to third following a five-second penalty for Ricky Collard for a breach of the safety car restart procedure. Moffat finished fourth, while Doble completed the race in tenth.

Unfortunately, Halstead's final race of the season ended prematurely following a first-lap incident, resulting in a DNF.

Patterson's result provided a fitting conclusion to the campaign that had already seen him secure the Jack Sears Trophy, with the presentation at Brands Hatch giving the team a chance to celebrate his championship success in front of the BTCC paddock.

To finish the 2026 season with the Independent Drivers' Championship, Independent Teams' Championship and Jack Sears Trophy represents a significant achievement for Power Maxed Racing.

The results reflect the commitment of the drivers, engineers, mechanics and wider team, alongside the support of its partners throughout the campaign.

For LKQ Euro Car Parts, the Independent Teams' Championship marks a successful conclusion to its season with Power Maxed Racing, while Steel Seal celebrates Patterson's Jack Sears Trophy success. Doble's Independent Drivers' title completes a memorable weekend for the team and its partners.

With the 2026 BTCC campaign now complete, Power Maxed Racing can look back on a season that delivered three championships and a strong foundation for the next chapter of the programme.

Three championships. One final weekend. A season to remember.
