Power Maxed Racing Heads to Brands Hatch with Two Championships Still to Fight For
Power Maxed Racing heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for the final round of the 2026 British Touring Car Championship season, with two Independent championships still to be decided and one already secured.
After a strong penultimate weekend at Silverstone, Power Maxed Racing arrives at the Brands Hatch GP circuit with plenty still to play for.
The team has already celebrated championship success, with Dexter Patterson securing the Jack Sears Trophy at Silverstone, completing a hugely impressive season in which he has established himself as the leading contender in the championship who is yet to achieve a BTCC podium at season start.
Now, attention turns to two further titles.
Mikey Doble leads the Independent Drivers' Championship heading into the season finale, while LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing heads to Brands Hatch fighting for the Independent Teams' Championship.
With both championships set to be decided across the final three races of the season, the pressure will be firmly on the four-car Power Maxed Racing squad.
Doble has enjoyed a standout campaign in his first full season with the team, consistently challenging at the front of the Independent classification. His Silverstone weekend included pole position and a Race 1 victory for LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing, strengthening his position at the head of the Independent Drivers' standings.
His LKQ Euro Car Parts team-mate Aiden Moffat will also play a crucial role in the Independent Teams' Championship battle, with the pair combining to put the team in contention for the title heading into the final weekend.
For Patterson, Brands Hatch provides an opportunity to celebrate the Jack Sears Trophy success while continuing to push the Steel Seal backed Audi S3 towards a strong finish to the campaign. Nick Halstead will complete the four-car Power Maxed Racing line-up, bringing the team's 2026 BTCC campaign to its conclusion.
With two championships still to be decided, the final weekend will be a significant one for Power Maxed Racing, but the Brands Hatch event also represents the culmination of a season of growth for the team.
Alongside its BTCC programme, Power Maxed Racing has continued to develop its wider motorsport platform throughout 2026, including the launch of the PM Junior Championship, which will provide a new route for young drivers looking to develop their careers in motorsport from 2027 onwards.
The Brands Hatch weekend will therefore mark both an ending and a beginning for Power Maxed Racing, with the team aiming to close its 2026 BTCC campaign with further silverware before turning its attention towards an increasingly ambitious 2027 programme.
