Power Maxed Racing Heads to Silverstone with Three Championship Targets in Sight

Power Maxed Racing heads to Silverstone this weekend for the penultimate event of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, with three significant championship targets firmly in sight. 

Following a dramatic weekend at Croft earlier this month, the four-car Audi S3 team arrives at the Northamptonshire circuit with Mikey Doble leading the Independents Trophy, LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing heading the Independent Teams’ Championship and Dexter Patterson holding a substantial advantage in the Jack Sears Trophy. 

With just six races remaining in the 2026 season, every point will count as the championship battles enter their final stages.

Doble heads to Silverstone with a 33-point advantage in the Independents Trophy, having strengthened his position with a superb victory in the final race at Croft.

The LKQ Euro Car Parts driver converted pole position into his second victory of the season, leading from lights to flag and recording the fastest Independent lap in the process.

The result continued an impressive campaign for Doble, who also took victory at the opening round of the season at Donington Park in the new Audi S3.

Alongside Doble, Aiden Moffat will once again fly the LKQ Euro Car Parts colours as the pair look to extend their advantage in the Independent Teams’ Championship.

The combination of Moffat and Doble has helped LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing establish a 27-point lead in the Teams’ battle heading into Silverstone.

Moffat arrives off the back of a strong Croft weekend, taking sixth in the qualifying race, sixth in the opening wet race and sixth again in the final race, while also claiming an Independent victory in Race One. 

For Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing, Dexter Patterson continues to lead the Jack Sears Trophy after another determined weekend at Croft.

Patterson fought his way through the field across the three races, including setting the fastest Independent lap in Race Two, before finishing eighth in the final race. 

The result extended his Jack Sears Trophy advantage to 118 points, putting him in a strong position with two events remaining.

Nick Halstead will complete the four-car Power Maxed Racing line-up at Silverstone, continuing his development with the Audi S3 following his return to the BTCC grid at Knockhill. 

Halstead made further progress at Croft, moving forward in the final race as the team continues to develop the balance and performance of his Audi through the closing stages of the season.

Silverstone represents the penultimate stop on the 2026 BTCC calendar, before the championship heads to Brands Hatch for the season finale in October. The Silverstone weekend will feature three BTCC races, beginning with the Qualifying Race on Saturday afternoon before two further races on Sunday.

For Power Maxed Racing, the focus is firmly on maximising every opportunity at Silverstone, defending its championship positions and building the strongest possible platform ahead of the Brands Hatch finale. 

With three championship battles still firmly in play, the penultimate weekend of the season promises to be another crucial chapter in Power Maxed Racing’s 2026 campaign.
