Power Maxed Racing Leaves Silverstone with Podiums, Independent Wins and the Jack Sears Trophy Title

Power Maxed Racing enjoyed a hugely successful penultimate weekend of the 2026 British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone, with Aiden Moffat securing a podium and Independent victory in a dramatic Race Three, while Dexter Patterson was crowned Jack Sears Trophy Champion.

The weekend began strongly for the four-car team, with Mikey Doble setting the second-fastest time in Practice, followed by Aiden Moffat in eighth, Dexter Patterson in 12th and Nick Halstead in 22nd.

The result saw all four Power Maxed Racing cars progress into Qualifying Group 2, with Doble continuing his impressive form to secure pole position. Moffat qualified fifth, while Patterson and Halstead took 11th and 21st respectively. 

Doble's pole position was backed up in the Qualifying Race, with the LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing driver taking victory ahead of team-mate Aiden Moffat in second. Doble also set the fastest lap of the race with a 56.808.

Patterson finished 11th, while Halstead came home 19th.

The strong qualifying performance from Doble and Moffat meant the two LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing cars started Race One from the front row.

Moffat converted pole into victory, with Doble finishing second to give the team a one-two finish. Doble also set the fastest Independent lap of the race with a 57.174.

Moffat was initially handed a five-second penalty for track limits, but this was subsequently retracted after it was established that the incident had occurred while avoiding a backmarker.

Patterson finished 18th, with Halstead 19th after securing the fastest Sector One time.

Race Two proved to be a more challenging affair, with Moffat finishing ninth, Patterson 14th, Doble 16th and Halstead 21st. 

The reverse-grid draw then handed Moffat pole position for the final race of the weekend, with Doble starting 16th, Patterson 14th and Halstead 21st. 

As rain arrived at Silverstone, Race Three became a very different challenge.

Moffat produced a strong drive in the wet conditions to secure third overall and claim victory in the Independent classification. He also set the fastest Independent lap of the race with a 1:03.150.

Doble finished 17th, Patterson 19th and Halstead 22nd. 

Away from the racing, Silverstone also provided the first opportunity for the new PM Junior Championship car to run in front of a BTCC crowd. The PM1 made demonstration laps on both Saturday and Sunday, with Mikey Doble taking the wheel and giving fans an early look at the car that will form the basis of Power Maxed Racing's new junior championship in 2027.
