Power Maxed Racing Ready for 2026 BTCC Season Opener at Donington Park
Power Maxed Racing is set to begin the 2026 British Touring Car Championship season with a three-car entry, marking a significant return to full-strength competition following a challenging period for the team.
After a devastating fire in 2025, the team has rebuilt, regrouped, and prepared extensively over the winter, arriving at the new season with renewed focus and determination to compete at the sharp end of the grid.
The team will field a significantly expanded entry this season, running three cars across two distinct programmes for the first time. LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing, featuring Aiden Moffat and Mikey Doble, will form one programme, alongside Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing, driven by Dexter Patterson.
Across all three entries, the team has worked tirelessly throughout pre-season testing to develop its package, gather data, and build performance ahead of the opening round. Early indications have shown encouraging pace and strong potential across the board.
Despite the setbacks of the past year, Power Maxed Racing enters the 2026 campaign with a strengthened structure, expanded partner support, and a clear ambition to fight for podiums and race wins.
Team Principal Adam Weaver said:
“We’ve been through a very difficult period as a team, but the response from everyone involved has been incredible. To be back on the grid with three cars is something we’re extremely proud of. The hard work over the winter has been relentless, and while we know the competition is strong, we’re here to fight at the sharp end and compete for podiums every weekend.
I also want to take a moment to thank every single member of the team for their commitment and effort. The late nights have been a constant, and the dedication shown to get us to this point has been outstanding. The late nights have been a constant, and the dedication shown to get us to this point has been outstanding. I’d also like to extend my thanks and apologies to their families and loved ones, who haven’t seen much of them since Christmas. Hopefully we can repay that effort with a successful weekend and send everyone home with a smile on their faces.”
The LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing entry brings together experience, with Moffat and Doble aiming to deliver consistent front-running performances throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing and Dexter Patterson continue to build on a promising development path, with Patterson also eligible for the Jack Sears Trophy as he targets strong results and further progress as the season unfolds.
As the new season begins, Power Maxed Racing does so with renewed energy, strengthened partnerships, and a clear focus on returning to the front of the British Touring Car Championship grid.
