Power Maxed Racing Ready for BTCC Return at Thruxton
Power Maxed Racing returns to the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship this weekend as the series heads to Thruxton for Rounds 13, 14 & 15 of the 2026 season.
Following a busy summer break, the team arrives at the UK's fastest circuit ready to begin the second half of the campaign, having made significant progress both on and off the track in recent weeks.
The break has provided an opportunity for the team to continue development across its various programmes, with the PM Junior Championship taking a significant step forward. The prototype PM1 race car will make its first public appearance at Thruxton this weekend, giving fans and partners their first opportunity to see the new car ahead of its official launch.
The team has also announced the expansion of its BTCC programme with the addition of a fourth Audi S3. Nick Halstead will return to the series with Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing, with the new entry set to make its race debut at Knockhill later this month.
Preparations for the second half of the campaign, included a productive test day at Pembrey last week, where the team continued development work and gathered valuable data ahead of the return to racing.
Now, attention turns firmly to Thruxton. Known for its ultra-fast, flowing layout and close slipstreaming battles, the Hampshire circuit consistently delivers spectacular racing and presents one of the biggest engineering challenges on the BTCC calendar.
Power Maxed Racing heads into the weekend looking to build on the momentum established during the opening half of the season, with Mikey Doble, Aiden Moffat and Dexter Patterson all aiming to add to the team's impressive performances so far in 2026.
With three races on Sunday and crucial championship points on offer, the team is eager to make a strong start to the second half of the season before attention turns to the expanded four-car programme at Knockhill.
Track action gets underway on Saturday with the Qualifying Race, ahead of Rounds 13, 14 & 15 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship on Sunday.
