Power Maxed Racing signs Dexter Patterson for 2026 BTCC Campaign

Power Maxed Racing has confirmed its first major driver signing ahead of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season, with Dexter Patterson joining the multiple race-winning team.

The signing coincides with Power Maxed Racing introducing brand-new Audi S3 machinery for the 2026 BTCC campaign.

As a newly signed Power Maxed Racing driver, Patterson returns determined to build on the progress he showed last season. The 22-year-old Scotsman described his previous campaign as “a season of two halves,” but strong performances in the latter stages established him as one of the rising talents on the BTCC grid.

With a fresh technical package and a new environment at Power Maxed Racing, Patterson is targeting consistent points finishes and regular top-ten results as the team develops its Audi S3 programme.

Dexter Patterson on Joining Power Maxed Racing: “I’m really excited to be joining Power Maxed Racing at such an important time for the team. The move to the Audi S3 makes this a fresh project for everyone, and that’s something that really motivated me.

Last season showed what we’re capable of when everything comes together. For 2026, the goal is to start strongly, keep building momentum, and make sure we’re fighting consistently at the front end of the grid.”

Team Principal Adam Weaver on the 2026 BTCC Signing: “Dexter hasn’t yet had the full opportunity to show what he’s truly capable of in the BTCC, but if you look at his CV, it speaks for itself. His karting record was phenomenal, and when you add his single-seater experience to his time in touring cars, he brings far more depth and race knowledge than people perhaps realise.

It was important for us heading into 2026 that we put ourselves in a position to challenge across the board, and Dexter gives us that platform. As a minimum, he will be a serious contender for the Jack Sears Trophy, and we’re determined to bring that title back to Power Maxed Racing.”

The new Power Maxed Racing Audi S3 will make its first on-track appearance during pre-season testing ahead of the 2026 BTCC season. Further driver announcements and updates will follow as preparations continue.
