Power Maxed Racing Strengthens Championship Challenge with Victory at TCR UK Round Three

Power Maxed Racing enjoyed another competitive weekend in the TCR UK Championship, securing a race victory, strengthening its position across multiple championship classifications and closing to within a single point of the Teams' Championship lead following Round Three of the season.

The weekend began positively in qualifying, with Jenson O'Neill Going securing fourth on the grid and Rod McGovern qualifying seventh, giving both drivers strong starting positions for Sunday's races.

Race One saw both drivers score valuable championship points. O'Neill Going battled to sixth place, while McGovern crossed the line seventh to ensure the team maintained its momentum heading into the second race of the day.

The weekend's standout result came in Race Two, where O'Neill Going delivered a composed drive to secure victory and add another win to Power Maxed Racing's 2026 campaign. McGovern also added to the team's points tally with an eighth-place finish, rounding off another productive weekend for the Warwickshire-based outfit.

The results see O'Neill Going move to the top of the TCR UK Drivers' Championship, while McGovern remains firmly in contention in seventh overall following another consistent performance.

McGovern also continues to lead the Goodyear Diamond Award standings, underlining his consistency throughout the opening half of the season.

Power Maxed Racing's strength across both cars is further reflected in the Tom Walker Trophy, where O'Neill Going leads the standings ahead of teammate McGovern in second.

In the Teams' Championship, the combined results leave Power Maxed Racing second overall, just a single point adrift of the championship lead with plenty of racing still to come.

With a race victory, the Drivers' Championship lead, the Goodyear Diamond Award lead, first and second in the Tom Walker Trophy, and the Teams' Championship battle separated by just one point, Power Maxed Racing heads into the next round firmly in contention for honours across every major classification.
