Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing Builds Momentum in BTCC Qualifying Race Debut at Donington Park

Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing made a positive start to the 2026 BTCC season at Donington Park, with Dexter Patterson gaining valuable experience and delivering a consistent performance across Saturday’s sessions. 

Free Practice saw Patterson complete his programme with a 14th-place finish, gathering important data as the team continued to refine its package ahead of qualifying. 

In Qualifying, Patterson secured 16th on the grid, maintaining steady progress as he adapted to the demands of the opening weekend. 

The introduction of the new BTCC Qualifying Race added an extra competitive element to the day, providing further opportunity to gain valuable race mileage. Patterson delivered a clean and controlled drive to finish 11th, continuing to build confidence and consistency in race conditions. 

Across the day, the focus remained on extracting performance and developing the package, with encouraging signs as the team continues to make progress. 

With a full race day ahead, Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing now looks to build on Saturday’s progress, with Patterson set to start Race One from 11th on the grid as he targets further gains.
