TCR UK Round 2 Donington GP - Report

Following a strong return to the championship, with both outright podium finishes and class victories at Round 1, the team arrived at Donington aiming to build on early-season momentum.
As a result of his second-place standing in the championship after Round 1, Finn Leslie carried an additional 30kg of compensation weight into this round.
Friday Testing
Friday’s testing programme was disrupted, with two of the three scheduled sessions limited to just one flying lap each due to multiple red flag incidents. However, the final session provided a valuable opportunity for setup refinement and data collection in preparation for Saturday’s qualifying session.
Qualifying
Qualifying yielded mixed results: Finn Leslie and Harry Bloor secured P9 and P12 respectively. Due to some competitors switching cars since Round 1, they were required to start from the back of the grid. This promoted Harry to P11 for the start of Race 1.
Race 1
Both drivers made strong starts, gaining positions off the line and navigating cleanly through early-race incidents. Solid performances throughout saw Finn finish in P6 and Harry in P10 — a result that placed Harry on pole for the reverse-grid Race 2.
Race 2
Race 2 proved more challenging. A difficult getaway for Harry dropped him down the order early on, while Finn capitalised on a clean start to climb to third. However, the added ballast began to take its toll over the race distance, and he eventually finished in P8, with Harry crossing the line in P13.
Championship Standings
Despite setbacks in Race 2, the team collected valuable championship points across the weekend. Finn now sits 4th in the overall standings, with Harry 10th and Jeff Alden 15th — the latter maintaining his lead in the Gen 1 Cup despite missing this round.
We now look ahead to the next round at Silverstone, where we aim to continue our form and push further up the standings.
