Olympus launch amazing new competition for aspiring motorsport photographers
Fancy yourself as a budding motorsport photographer? Want to get behind the scenes and experience how one of the British Touring Car Championship’s (BTCC) front-running teams operates, whilst getting your hands on some amazing equipment? Olympus and Power Maxed Racing have today announced a competition to reward amateur photographers, who manage to catch those amazing, once-in-a-lifetime shots that don’t get the recognition they deserve.
If you’re attending a round of the BTCC this year, be sure to keep an eye on what the guys and girls at Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing are doing. Because that’s how you’ll have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes.
To coincide with the launch of the brand-new waterproof, shockproof and BTCC-mechanic-proof Tough TG-6 camera, worth £450, by Olympus, we’re going to be giving 6 of them away across the three main social media platforms. And winning them couldn’t be easier:
Facebook – Post your image on the Power Maxed Racing (@powermaxedracing) page, in the appropriate album for the round it was taken at. Make sure you include the hashtag #OlympusPMR, and that you’ve followed the Olympus Facebook page (@OlympusUK), or your entry won’t be counted.
Instagram – Post your image on your normal feed, ensuring you tag @powermaxedracing and @olympusuk, and include the hashtags #powermaxedracing, #olympusuk and #olympuspmr. Make sure you’ve also followed the Olympus Instagram page.
Twitter - Post your image on your normal feed, ensuring you mention @UKPMR and @olympusuk, and include the hashtags #powermaxedracing, #olympusuk and #olympuspmr. Make sure you’ve also followed the Olympus Twitter page.
There’ll be one 1st Place and one Runner-Up winner on each social media platform.
The 3 winners will all receive an Olympus Tough TG-6 Camera, and be invited to join us, along with a guest, as VIP guests of Olympus and Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing at the BTCC Season Finale at Brands Hatch. You’ll be able to take your Tough Camera onto the grid, to take photos of Jason Plato, Rob Collard, and the team at work, whilst wearing a piece of Official Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Team clothing.
Runners-up will each receive a brand-new Tough TG-6Camera, along with a piece of Official Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Team clothing.
The pictures you take can be of anything PMR related; whether it’s the cars on the track, the team hard at work; in fact anything that captures the spirit of PMR. This is where your imagination, ingenuity and skill come in.
It does not matter what equipment or brand you use to take the photograph.
